A short 17 minute drive from our Byron Beach Houses you can drive through the rolling hills and overarching canopies. You can stop and have lunch and explore the surrounding shops and stores. Lighthouse Walks
Byron Bay Beach Houses are in the perfect location for a Byron Bay winter stroll to the top of the lighthouse hill. Enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from the most easterly point of the Australian mainland and grab a coffee at the light house café. Make sure to bring a jumper because the summit can be a chilly.
Whale Watching
One of the top things to do in Byron Bay over the Winter months is whale watching. These majestic creatures make their annual migration right past the bay with visitors able to catch a glimpse from May through to November. Our top location for getting a glimpse of the passing whales whilst enjoying some award-winning food is the Byron Beach Café. The café provides uninterrupted views of the bay with a large outdoor deck which provides great opportunities to snap a photo. Writers Festival
An annual three-day festival located right in Byron this event brings together writers and booklovers from across Australia. Held between the 4-6th of August every day is packed full of events, public talks and workshops. Make sure to book your tickets in advance so you don’t miss out on seeing your favourite authors.
